Grinder's With Nick Vigarino

Reservations are recommended for the shows at Grinders and tonight was no exception.  With all tables reserved by 6pm it was standing room only left for those unaware of the popularity of this great venue.  Mitch, the owner, told me they book a week in advance and some shows are already sold out for capacity so make your reservations early and show up by 7pm to keep them.

Their awesome sandwiches are big enough to share, grinders to be exact, ranging from $9 - $12 with home made chili, soups and salads, desserts and beer and wine on the menu.  The desserts are a work of art, equally delicious were the cheesecake and the tiramisu.  The Dipper grinder was tremendous and took two of us to scarf it down.  It was really good!

The decor is equally as classy as the desserts, colorful yet mellow with dark wood furniture, a fireplace and a wall of family pictures.  The sound is great in this intimate venue and the crowd loved it.  From casual to dressy, the crowd was as classy as the place.  This is definately a place that I'll hang out at more often.

Tonight slide guitarist Nick Vigarino with Larry Dennis on drums played with special guest Chris Leighton on percussion.  Chris was an added pleasure as he meshed his collection of percussion to Larry's beat.  All together they were a powerhouse of rythym to Nick's guitar.
