Washington Blues Society to Host "HoneyDripper" Screening

The Washington Blues Society will host the Seattle premiere of “Honeydripper,” the new film from independent American filmmaker John Sayles. The screening will be held on Thursday, February 21st at 7:00 PM at the Landmark Metro Cinema at 4500 – 9th Avenue NE in Seattle’s University District.

“Honeydripper” won the “Best Independent or Foreign Film” award at the 2008 NAACP Image Awards in Hollywood, and has received critical acclaim from The Los Angeles Times, Variety, Screen, and Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times.

“Honeydripper” features an all-star cast including Danny Glover, Charles S. Dutton, Lisa Gay Hamilton, Stacy Keach, Mary Steenburgen, Yaya DaCosta and Sean Patrick Thomas; as well as such notable musicians as Eddie Shaw, Keb’ Mo’ and Dr. Mable John.  “Honeydripper” also introduces a major new talent, Gary Clark Jr. who makes his electrifying film debut as Sonny.  More information: honeydripper-movie.com/
